You know, I wrote my name in during the Republican Primary. Little did I know the groundswell of support that would follow...

Happy Birthday America

Not one day goes by without me considering the efforts and the sacrifices made by so many in our Nation's past, the will of the Founding Father's, their vision, and what America is supposed to be. It's not just the 4th of July that brings these thoughts about, it's every day. It's on my way to work, it's on my way home. It's having dinner with my wife and kids. It's when I bed down for the night. I am so grateful to have been born and raised here, enjoying the freedoms that so many take for granted.
Perhaps this was instilled in me by my mother, God rest her soul. Perhaps it was the time period in which I grew up. All I know is, with all our flaws, and all of our problems, we are blessed to be living here, with more opportunity, more wealth, and more reward than any other country in the world. Say what you want about our government. Say what you want about each other. None of that changes what you see when you drive across this great land. A great land that could not exist without the key ingredient; Freedom.
God bless you, God bless all that serve, and God bless the United States of America. May you always be strong, may you always be free.
Just thought it needed to be said.

Dead Voters - Officials are Puzzled
Officials are idiots...
It seems there have been dead people voting in Connecticut.
From the STORY
No evidence of election fraud? You mean other than the ballots of dead people?
Oh, and this is one of my favorite lines in a news story, of all times:
Actually no dead people voted...
And in other news, Barrack Obama, having all but defeated democratic rival Hillary Clinton, said today that it is important that the dead "never be disenfranchised. It's our moral obligation to ensure suffrage of the dead. As easy as it is to ignore their plight, and their hardships, we must give them a place at the table and put an end to the oppression of the dead, much like has taken place in Connecticut."

“We have one person who appeared to have voted 17 times since he died,” Dufresne said.

Oh, and this is one of my favorite lines in a news story, of all times:
Connecticut Secretary of State Susan Bysiewicz is adamant that “actually no dead people voted.”Well, I feel better now that in fact there are no zombies in Connecticut that have lived up to their civic duty.
“I want to be very clear about that,” she said, explaining that while votes were cast and counted in the names of the dead, “there was no voter fraud at all in the state of Connecticut.”

The Final Inspection
The Marine stood and faced God, which always must come to pass. He hoped his shoes were shining just as brightly as his brass. "Step forward now you, Marine, how shall I deal with you? Have you always turned the other cheek? To my church have you always been true?"
The Marine squared his shoulders and said "No Lord, I guess I haven't because those of us who carry guns can't always be a saint. I've had to work most Sundays, and at times, my work was tough. And sometimes I've been violent, because the world is an awfully rough place. But, I never took a penny that wasn't mine to keep. Though I've worked a lot of overtime, when the bills got steep, I never passed a cry for help. And at times I shook with fear, and sometimes, God forgive me, I wept unmanly tears. I know I don't deserve a place among the people here, they never wanted me around except to calm their fears. If you have a place for me here Lord, it needn't be so grand, I've never expected or had much. But if you don't have a place for me Lord, I'll understand."
There was silence all around the throne where the saints had often trod as the Marine waited quietly for the judgement of his God.
"Step forward, you Marine. You've borne your burdens well. Walk peacefully on Heaven's streets Marine, you've done your time in Hell."
On this Memorial Day, I invite you to raise your glass, say a little prayer, and drink to those who served before us, and to those who shall follow. God Bless the United States Marine Corps, and all members of our Armed Forces.

An Inconvenient Fake
What a tool!
You ever see the movie "The Day After Tomorrow?" There's a scene of an ice shelf falling into the sea, all very dramatic. If you've seen "An Inconvenient Truth," you saw that same scene in that movie as well.
The interesting part, IT WAS COMPUTER GENERATED.
Gore Used Fictional Video to Illustrate ‘Inconvenient Truth’
From the article:
Entire story is at link above...
"That's a fully computer generated shot. There's nothing real in there."
NOTHING REAL IN THERE!!!!!!
Nothing like a little artistic creativity to add impact to your stupid documentary.
And this got him the Nobel Prize.
I just wonder if they had permission to use the shot.

From the article:
...
On Friday, it was revealed by ABC News that one of the famous shots of supposed Antarctic ice shelves in the film was actually a computer-generated image from the 2004 science fiction blockbuster "The Day After Tomorrow."
Adding delicious insult to injury, this was presented by one of ABC's foremost global warming alarmists Sam Champion during Friday's "20/20":
SAM CHAMPION (ABC NEWS)
(Voiceover) Al Gore's 2006 documentary, 'An Inconvenient Truth," makes the same point with actual video of ice shelves calving. Which shots have more impact?
AL GORE (FORMER UNITED STATES VICE PRESIDENT)
And if you were flying over it in a helicopter, you'd see it's 700 feet tall. They are so majestic.
SAM CHAMPION (ABC NEWS)
(Voiceover) Wait a minute, that shot looks just like the one in the opening credits of "The Day After Tomorrow."
KAREN GOULEKAS (VISUAL EFFECTS SUPERVISOR)
Yeah, that's, that's our shot. That's a fully computer generated shot. There's nothing real in there.

Fitna
A short film that looks into the Quran and is causing quite a stir. Watch it while you can. Two other websites have already pulled it down due to threats from Muslim extremists.
