About the Goose

First and foremost, I am my wife's husband.
We were married in June of 05 and I thank
God every day that I found her.  She is the
love of my life and everything is better when
she's with me.  She's my best friend.  She is
my life.  Without her, I'd be a lost soul
wondering the earth looking for her.  Plus,
she's freakin Hot and that always helps.

I am also a 37 year father of one 12 year-old
son and step-father of one 16 year-old girl.  I
am originally from Indianapolis Indiana, but
have moved around quite a bit.  I moved to
Columbus Indiana during Junior high
school and attended high school there.
I played football from the age of six through my senior year.  I stayed in Columbus Indiana until my
departure for Marine Corps Bootcamp in 1988.

I was stationed overseas for 2 years in beautiful Okinawa Japan as well as over 2 years in Orange
County California.  I loved my time in the Corps and made friends that I have to this day.

Oh my God who cares... I'm a former Active Duty Marine with some computer skills and a ton of
opinions that will drive my wife nuts if I don't put them out for the world to see.  I'm a political junkie
who enjoys the world of policy and maneuvering.

I love Football, Golf, Led Zeppelin and movies.  I now live in the Pittsburgh area as it has been a
dream of mine for as long as I can remember.  Being born a Pittsburgh Steelers fan and having
loved Penn State football since Junior High, Western Pennsylvania was the place for me.
 Not to
mention, this is where my wife is from, so getting every Steelers game on TV is just a bonus.

I believe I get my interest in politics honestly in that my grandfather was a staunch republican and
my grandmother was actually the secretary to the Chairman of the Republican Party for the State of
Indiana. I can remember debating with my grandfather after school one day when I thoughtlessly
repeated the views of my then Social Studies teacher about the Cuban Missile crisis.  In no
uncertain terms, my grandfather set me straight on left and right, and right and wrong.  And from that
day forward, I looked at my Social Studies teachers a little differently.  I learned to be a little skeptical
and to think for myself.  I learned to look at all sides of an issue and determine the right course.

As my grandfather encouraged me to think for myself, I want to encourage my readers to do the
same.  Information is the key to victory in any conflict.  My purpose in doing this website is to provide
that information.  But I don't want you to just agree with me.  I want you to think for yourself.  Read the
stories I link to and form your own opinions.  And don't be afraid to have those opinions.  Somehow,
being opinionated has become a bad thing.  I say it is a good thing.  Don't be afraid, it is a free
country.

Let it be known, I have no interest in running for office.  I wouldn't last 10 minutes in a political
campaign because the first time some little pencil neck reporter went after me or my family, I'd be
arrested for kicking his ass.  I know that about myself and figure it best I stay out of that situation.

I hope you enjoy my Nightmare and continue to come back  and check it out.  And remember,
always keep a since of humor, you'll go nuts if you don't.
