The Main Stream Media Double Standard

As if we didn't know...

Linda Chavez has written an excellent piece for Townhall.com talking about how the left wing media has a complete double standard when it comes to getting to the bottom of classified leaks. You are all well aware of the Valerie Plame case that caused a big uproar from the left when her name was supposedly "leaked" by a member of the Bush administration. She was and is still being portrayed as a covert agent in the media, when in fact she was a desk jockey and had been for some time. No real threat to national security resulted in her name being released.

But recently, the exposure of the secret prisons in Eastern Europe and most recently the wiretapping techniques being used by the NSA in which they listened in on phone calls between suspected terrorists and people outside the country leads many, including me, to the question; Where's the investigation into who is leaking this information? These two instances of classified information being leaked by far outweigh the naming of a desk jockey at the CIA and nobody is asking who leaked this. Why is that?

I'll tell you why. The leaking of the name of a supposed covert CIA operative by someone at the Bush administration makes the administration looks bad. But the leaking of other classified information that may not play well with the American public is, in the minds of the left, a good leak so who cares where it came from. What it boils down to is if the leak makes the administration look bad, or if they can spin it to make the administration look bad, they don't care who leaked it. When the leak is inconsequential, but potentially came from a Bush administration official, we must get to the bottom of that leak. That is just another example of the left playing politics with our national security.

The left will politicize anything and everything they can to get back into power. They cannot stand not having control and they have demonstrated time and time again that they jump on anything they can to hurt the President. There are ways to criticize an administration without causing damage to a war effort. You can work with the administration or you can attack the administration at every turn. The left has chosen to attack our President in a time of war. And they wonder why people call them traitors.

liberals suck, so does political correctness. They could make the presidents dog taking a leak on the grass sound bad.

Hey Goose, I'm liking this site. Perhaps it's the color scheme? Hmmmm. It looks nice though. Then again, so did your other one.

All right. Now, I'm going to read the above post. :)

Hey now, don't go there;) I was using black and red long before you. But I was thinking about this earlier, we do seem to have partnered up, in appearance anyway. That's ok, we can kick hippy ass together...
